New political science conference planned in response to academic prejudices

ISI’s first US POLITICAL AND GOVERNMENT SUMMIT to bring together academics committed to freedom and the search for truth in 2022

WILMINGTON, Delaware, Oct. 01, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) – In response to a recent decision to dismiss Claremont Institute panels at an annual gathering of political scientists, the Intercollegiate Studies Institute (ISI) announced today that he will welcome US Summit on Politics and Government (APG Summit) in the fall of 2022. This summit will bring together academics to participate in a dialogue focused on emerging research, grounded in timeless principles, in the fields of politics, philosophy and economics.

ISI has been dedicated to promoting the values of true education to students and faculty since 1953. ISI’s first president, William F. Buckley Jr., believed that the true purpose of education was not was not to serve a political agenda but to enable the pursuit of wisdom. and cultivate virtuous citizens.

With this in mind, the APG Summit will facilitate discussions and debates rooted in the pursuit of academic excellence. The Summit will be held on 28-29 Oct 2022 at the Linda L. Bean Conference Center at ISI’s FM Kirby Campus, located in Delaware’s idyllic Brandywine Valley. ISI inaugurated the Center in June 2021.

ISI President and CEO Johnny Burtka said, “The education we provide to our students is only as good as that of our professors who teach them. The stock market in the United States today is inherently not very serious in nature. Our teachers need alternatives. In the fall of 2022, ISI will provide one. “

ISI introduces them to the American tradition of freedom and a vibrant community of students and scholars. ISI students receive an education and a community that they do not find in their universities. And in the process, they become articulate voices for the principles that have made America free and prosperous.
