GEORGETOWNTexas – CJ Reitmeyer led the way for the Tornados, finishing tied for 11th, and the Concordia Texas men’s golf team wrapped up the West Region Invitational on Tuesday.
Reitmeyer shot 74-75-75-224, just short of a personal best 54 holes, and was the top CTX golfer tied for 11th.
As a team, the Tornados finished fifth out of eight teams, totaling 305-300-295-900. They trailed tournament winner Southwestern by 27 strokes.
Travis Skorheim and Justin Skorheim were neck and neck in the tournament as the brothers finished tied for 17th place.
Travis Skorheim finished the tournament with a personal best in the last 18 holes, totaling 79-78-68 – 225. He shot four under par in a stellar closing round.
Justin Skorheim totaled 74-75-76 – 225 that day, playing consistently in every round to break into the top 20.
Ben Constancio was not far behind, finishing in 19th place with a score of 76-74-76 – 226.
Jason Diebner shot 79-76-75–230, tying his career best at 24th, and Jorge Arnaud rounded out the CTX score at 76-75-82–233, tying for 32nd.
With the last tournament of the regular season over, the Tornados will turn their attention to the American Southwest Conference Championships. The tournament will begin on April 29 at Nutcracker Golf Club in Granbury, Texas.
