NORCO, Calif. (AP) — A private school in Southern California has apologized to parents after a teacher last month shared a video of its principal preschool students in a chant denouncing President Joe Biden.
Video obtained by ABC 7 News in Los Angeles shows the unnamed teacher at Norco’s Turning Point Christian School asking 4- and 5-year-olds, “Who’s our president?”
When they respond in unison, “Biden,” the professor then asks, “What do we want to do with him?” »
The students respond by shouting, “We want him out!”
Parent Christina McFadden told ABC 7 that the President’s Day lesson video was shared through the school’s messaging app, before it was taken down.
Turning Point officials said in a statement to parents that the school was “sorry for any misunderstandings” caused by the video.
“Earlier today a video was posted which has since been removed as it did not share our school and church philosophy of honoring and respecting authority, including those in government positions” , says the statement from the school.
School officials did not respond Monday to a request for additional comment.
It is unclear what disciplinary action, if any, was taken against the teacher.
McFadden said she pulled her daughter out of school.
“It doesn’t matter at this point which side of the fence you are on. It can happen in your child’s classroom, and it does happen,” she said.
Turning Point is a nonprofit Christian institution that offers a wide range of K-6 programs, according to its website.
